It’s not about “classes”, it’s about value. The higher you go on pouring into it, there is a point of diminishing returns.
At some point it would be wise to just buy a mini pc/enterprise router instead of wanting upgradeadable RAM and storage in a router. Agreed that 1Gb vs 2GB RAM is a noticeable upgrade but then it wouldn’t have much impact on >90% potential users.
Personally I have a “relatively heavy home” setup and want to try something compact.

The point isn't about now. GL.iNet already said that the specs are taken into account as to what features are added and firmware updates. An extra 1GB of RAM will ensure longevity. I don't know how many times I'll need to say this, but get the Flint 2 or 3 if money is a concern. They won't become obsolete because of the Flint 4.
Wether question I had was how can it be constructive.

just telling people to get a better job is just baffling me, you have a altitude problem and people don't need a router emphized on people with altitude problems if they cannot be constructive at all with feedback, it has nothing to do how it benefits people in your words but only the driving high price is.
Edit: to add high price is not the same as true value, there is a point of dismishes like others also pointed out, but it seems it doesn't mather to you, it is just mindless feedback at this point with intend to increase the price to look onto other people who are 'poor', it does not justify the true reason and is toxic.

I couldn’t care less about the screen. But I also don’t think that it would make the router much cheaper
My flint 2 is hung on the wall in the downstairs toilet. It’s in the centre of the house on the ground floor which is ideal.
I suppose the screen will give me something to look at if I forget my mobile while doing my business 
I would totally ditch the screen, unnecessary heat and power consumption, one more potential point of failure. Hope we have total control to disable it via software.

I honestly don’t care about that screen at all. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t even want a screen—it feels kind of useless anyway. But whatever, they can put a screen if they want. As long as I still get the Flint 4, I’m fine with it.

Me too. It would have been nice to omit the screen and save a bit of money. I can understand how a touchscreen might be useful in a travel router, but home router? That's a tough one. I just want to get the Flint 4 and sell the Flint 2 now.
