Yes, there was an issue with the data shown on the new website. It has now been corrected to 2 GB.

For sure. If the Flint 4 isn't meaningfully better than the Flint 2, then I wouldn't buy it either.

That sounds interesting; I’ll only buy it if it’s worth it and only if the price is right.

Good, the beta units would be seeding rn so timelines match.

Usually the mailing list would get updates about pre-order and early bird, so I think this is a mistake from marketing and pre-orders are not live yet

Will the SFP+ port be backward compatible with 1Gb/s SFP modules?

My ISP currently supports up to 1Gb/s services and I’ve used a 1Gb/s BiDi module in the past with a Ubiquiti router. Plan was to buy the same BiDi module again and use that with the Flint 4.

Hmm I never heard of it being not compatible on any device based on the lower speed, it should be backwards compatible.

I do know that some sfp modules may are incompatible, often with sfp ports there only a few which don't work so compatibility surely need to be tested I think, I don't know if that holds true on ethernet copper sfp modules.

The fiber ones often come with their own mini web ui for configuration with isp, and alot of things need to match in that case with isp side, either by spoofing or having the exact same module and supplying the serial/vendor with them.
