Mt3000 - 5Ghz wifi repeater unable to connect to wifi

At 4.2 snapshot 2023-01-09 5:20:31(UTC+08:00)
Controlling via glui

  1. Router is already connected to a 5ghz wifi
  2. disable the wifi repeating
  3. reconnect wifi repeating by clicking connect, wait scan to finish and choose available wifi
  4. connecting for a while and mentions about failure to connect
  5. rebooting the router usually enables wifi repeater to be able to connect to the wifi again.

do you mean MT3000 4.2 snapshot 2023-01-11 5:25:50(UTC+08:00) ?

did ‘dirty upgrade’ from 01-09 snapshot, when all wireless is disabled, can only scan 2.4 wifi networks

when i enable my 5g wifi, then can scan and connect to 5g wifi networks

is this intended or bug?

yep, this snapshot of MT3000 on January 11th still has the 5G wifi repeater issue of not connecting to wif.

I confirm the MT3000 5GHz repeater mode issue has been fixed with snapshot firmware 1/12. :grinning: :100:

The most recent 4.2.0 snapshot works fine with my MT3000 on all the wireless functions. (The 1/6 snapshot worked fine for me too.) I have not come across any issues with it so far (Openvpn client, wireguard client, tethering, repeating, wired).

Better than 4.1 stable and 4.2 b2, so I hope this becomes b3 before the holidays.

Still not sure what the 4.1.3 snapshot is all about.

This is still a problem May 2024
