Is there a fix for the slow wifi speeds on the flint 2? I have 1gb fibre I only get 100mb on the flint 2 when I try the flint 1 I get 1gb speeds..
Hello,
What patches are you mean? I require to check.
I will submit this, please await.
Please check the attached:
tcpproxy_1.2-4_aarch64_cortex-a53_neon-vfpv4.zip (19.7 KB)
What firmware version now? The network topology?
Is the v4.6.2 firmware working normal?
Please share the detail info with us.
I am on 4.7 and my wifi is extremely slow both 2.4 and 5ghz on the mt6000 flint2
With the 5GHz WiFi, all wireless clients/devices are slow?
Is the firmware stable 4.7.0 or 4.7.0-op24?
What wireless client models you tested?
Please SSH to the router, and execute this command:
cat /proc/kmsg& logread -f&
Re-connect WiFi for the clients, and export the syslog.
Yes all the 5ghz are slow Mac and pixel 9 I'm on stable 4.7 okay I'll do that and send logs
Like this for example (just an example of a recent patch):
https://git01.mediatek.com/plugins/gitiles/openwrt/feeds/mtk-openwrt-feeds/+/2c7c14933e3ee0350b0591ac52ab4b9ce5d2ba7e
But I think it is included every time you build the image?
What's the difference between stable and op? 4.7
None of these firmware versions worked I downgraded 4.6.2 and that didn't resolve it. I upgrade to the OP version 4.6.2 and 4.7 they didn't work either. So I don't really know what to do. Also, when I connect via Ethernet I am getting 800-900 Mbps so it's definitely a wifi problem
hello there.. I wonder what this strange temp spike is, almost every day around 01:00 AM
MT6000 FW 4.7.0
What did you mean by "op version 4.6.2"?
We have these firmwares available:
- Stable 4.7.0 released on 05/Dec/2024
- Beta 4.7.0-op24 released on 09/Dec/2024
- Beta 4.7.4 released on 07/Jan/2025
Try options 2 and 3
My internet speed is 500Mbps/70Mbps, I'm using Flint 2 with firmware 4.7.0-op24 and I'm not experiencing any problem on these client devices:
- Laptop HP with wifi chipset intel AC9560
- Laptop Lenovo with wifi chipset AX210
- Smartphone Google Pixel 7
The peaks in temp likely correspond to a rise in CPU usage during those times. Watch for a daily task that fires off during that period and you will probably have your answer. It is interesting there was no spike on Friday AM...
Please don't post this here. Some people have the impression, they can install OpenWrt on their Gl-inet router. I know several people who bricked their device with this firmware from OpenWrt. Besides that, it has nothing to do with the gl-inet firmware 4.7 and is off-topic.
I have AXT1800 and ordinarily use some additional openwrt and luci plugins, but I can do without them for the beta version. Can you confirm if the full set of plugins will be made available for the release version?
AXT1800 4.7.0 beta running for a few days I noticed this log entry
kern.warn kernel: [197138.116348] ath11k c000000.wifi: encap mismatch in nss tx skb encap type 1vif encap type 2
well, the mt6000 is running basically standard , nothing fancy, just adguard, no vpn shizzle.
Syslog is also telling nothing funky at that time.
So i have no idea.
Hey @Renato sorry I meant the 4.7.0 OP24 what you linked in your post. Is your internet speed 500mb on wifi or Ethernet?
I will try and upgrade to 4.7.4 today and see if this resolves the issues.
Is there anything else that needs to be done after the upgrade or downgrade?
WiFi.
I listed the devices and their WiFi chipset on my previous comment
