Release Candidate means mostly "more stable" than pure beta.
4.7 can still be found here: http://download.gl-inet.com.s3.amazonaws.com/firmware/mt6000/testing/openwrt-mt6000-4.7.0-1018-1729252345.bin (fort MT6000)
It looks like someone is working to get the MT6000 4.7 image back, as it appears correct for me now. It has a new date, but changelog looks generic, so I can't tell if it is a new version or not. Unfortunately I do not have the previous one to compare the hash value.
I really don't understand why some companies insist to use "2G" and "5G" when it should be "2.4GHz" and "5GHz"
They are tottally different things
This is such a HUGE pet peeve of mine.
Where can I find it?
I don't know, trying short letter for WiFi and good visible size icon. If writing full word then we can't see number each clients...
Upgrade from 4.7.0 to 4.7.1 on X3000 worked fine.
Just a couple of suggestions for the interface:
- Move "Open Ports on Router" from the Security tab back to the Network tab and "Port forwarding" and maybe change "Port Forwarding" to simply "Port Settings". Or, combine "Port Forwarding" with "Network Port Management" since that is exactly what it is.
- I personally would like to see "Cloud Services" put back under "Applications" but I do understand why you want to make that a separate tab.
- Add back the ability to upgrade the module firmware in "System/Upgrade"
- Put the icons back to the right hand side of the Interface window. I prefer to not have to hover over the ... and then have to click on a drop down menu item. Hovering over the icon to get a description and a single click worked just fine under the previous version. Using ... as opposed to the icons is not very intuitive for new users in my opinion.
That is pretty much it as far as the interface goes. The rest are just tweaks to the system to work better, which I am certain are being worked on.
- Cellular data used no longer shows upload and download traffic but does show for individual clients.
- I would like to be able to add my own custom Modem AT Commands. The ability for me to edit the gl-sdk4-ui-modemmanage.common.js.gz no longer works. It appears that the system is only reading the file from the /rom/www/views/ folder which can not be edited. Please allow the system to be able to read the settings from the /www/views/ folder again or add the ability to add a custom setting and save it to the list.
I like everything else your team has done in the 4.7 update and am glad that things are progressing and is more user friendly, other than the added tab confusion for ports.
When I enable "Override DNS Settings of All Clients " and then click apply it is apparently applied. But if I switch the tab, for example if I go up to Guest Network and then again down to DNS settings the Apply button is not greyed out like it used to be but I can click apply again. This happens in no other tab.
Also when I switch to DNS settings the "Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS" setting is green (enabeld) for like a second before it gets disabled. My intention was to only enable "Override DNS Settings of All Clients".
The settings are displayed correct after like 1 second of switching to DNS settings tab. But again I still have the option to click "Apply" even though I made no changes.
Can you check this? Are the right settings even applied when I switch tabs?
I marked highlight, red is wrong, and green is correct.
Main Router:
Access Point Flint 2:
Looks like conflict clients between Main router Flint 2 and Access Point mode Flint 2.
Access point only one port from Main Router.
I'm guessing the MT2500 4.7 is broken as no update yet.
I connected to Spain and I was awarded with a german Ip Adress... Nord seems completely broken. The DNS setting issue I described above was not even addressed yet. This is really disappointing.
Is the "Bridge" mode available on this version (4.7)?
ESIM support is missing in 4.7 firmware (X-3000 and XE-3000). I guess you will update the firmware accordingly?
@alzhao there possible clients GL gui rewrite & sync to hostname in luci?
Also, in access point did not copy clients names from main router
Version : 4.7.1 Beta 2024-10-19 on XE-3000
. wan is not detected when using ethernet 2 port as Wan, dashboard doesn't show an active connection , causing issues with 5G failover and load balance , even though internet works
It is possible but we avoid that purposely. We have more options e.g. speed limit etc which could break Luci.
Can you explain in more details? Do you want the AP list clients of the router?
You can see screenshot and there conflict icons between WiFi and wired. Access point showing all unknown names .
