Sky dsl dhcp 61

This marble B-3000 i cant find anywhere in any of the settings OPENWRT?
Says its built in? but where...
More importantly, sky's authentication needs DHCP 61 and the following path for the username: ANYTHING@SKYDSL|SKYDSL and the pass: ANYTHING and the vlan needs to be: 10
But none of this works...
I then found out some thread on open wrt saying they used wireshark to find the authentication of the sky's router then they used a hex gen to create a bunch of hex strings and they add this to the username and pass...but when i did it, it was way to long, im confised...
Where the heck is openwrt in the GLiNET marble router??

I think you need to go into luci

That option refers to client id, however the gl ui does not have support for it afaik.

If you go into luci -> network -> interfaces.

Click on edit on the wan interface, there on the advanced tab you have all these options also vendor id but that is a other dhcp option and probably not required.

The vlan however can be setup via the gl ui, id recommend to do the vlan first.

I really REALLY NEED HELP!!
Out of the box the Marble B3000 does not support DHCP 61. I need this for a connection. R-lin from tech support reached out to me and showed me a possible way to connect by going into Luci -network-interface-wan-edit-advanced and adding in the client id which is (anything@skydsl|anything)
But when i tried to do this is was saying in red writing it needs a hex value

I cant find this hex value, and when using an online tool to get a hex value its way to long
Somone from sky forums said I need to flash the Marble B3000 with some DD-WRT but how do i do this??
Im at a loss...confused, frustrated and been trying hard for years to use 3rd party routers to get a handshake with skys authentication DHCP 61,60 or what ever...

Are you sure that the hex value only contains hexadecimal chars? (so only 0-9, a-f)

That's simply stupid because it won't work. Ignore this "advice"

I thought as much, They are SKY afterall, just not employee's but they are limited to what they can say because of SKY's "rule's"
SKY dont like it when customer's find a solution to the DHCP 61. They believe its some sort of tampering or hacking using tools such as wireshark.
But again, this is nuts cos they give you the sky's engineer's username and pass (anything@skydsl|anything) but not a hex client id???

Ya, I used the hex tool String to Hex Online Converter | String Functions but get a long crazy decimal value. I need something short with ??:??:??: etc

The GUI tells that you need a hex string - there is no info about a "short" one and no info about a MAC styled one (##:##:##...)

Please double check that your string is hexadecimal only - no blanks, no dots, nothing else than just 0-9 and a-f

Yeah, that's fine. It's hex.

Glad you have got it sorted.

@admon maybe you have the power to make the solution over on this thread: WiFi not showing up to point here or just post in the other thread so the solution posts to this post? Just a thought as I'm sure it's the same problem / extended thread, am I right @Geist-JP-01 ?

true true, was the same issue but i went awol and added new threads each time. "noob frenzy panic mode"

I thought as much. Maybe if you get time you could make a write up of exact steps you did to get a successful connection and how you did it, just add your write up to this post. Would be a nice pointer for anyone else struggling.

sure thing. I'm also trying to figure out how to enable protonvpn through wireguard. I can get a open vpn config file from protonvpn easy but this only permits 30meg up and down.
Wireguard will allow 140+ and if i find a solution or if someone else in the forum finds a solution. I will add this combined to this existing one. It'll be like what most people will want from a GLinet router especially coming over from sky
