Spitz AX GL-X3000 - No longer boots

Above. If I keep unplugging and restarting it sometimes it will boot and run fine. Most the time just the power light no boot.

Is it convenient to chat with me privately and tell me the mac address of your device?

PM sent to you

I have exact the same error :frowning:
Can anyone help me?

Me too, i just saw a button on update page, to update modules, pressed it, now my device is bricked

same as above, all i get is a power light, ive tried my best to get it to work again

i can get a very basic version of open wrt to install but no idea how to get the modem part to work again, tried flashing all the images, all of them are the same result, just power light, and no response

would really appreciate some help in how to unbrick my device

thanks

Please reinstall the GL firmware using this method: Debrick via Uboot - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

thats what i have done, but all firmware versions give same result
i reset to uboot, install any of the firmware version, system reboots, 2g wifi flashes twice, then nothing, just solid power light (no other light) and have no access to device.
and have to reset to uboot again

only thing that will boot is the open_wrt, but i cannot get it to use the modem

Did you use the wrong OpenWrt image by chance? Not the sysupgrade one?

MT2500 and X3000 have the same EMMC don't they?

ok, so i have managed to get it working in vanilla openwrt (i had to use the base image and then add packages, it would get stuck in a redirect loop if i prebuilt the packages listed in openwrt thread)
however i can only seem to get it working in usb mode, cant seem to get it working in pci mode

and i still cant get any of the official gl.inet firmware to work, just have to reset back using uboot and go back to vanilla openwrt

no idea whats gone wrong with it, pressing 'update modules' in the gl.inet web gui, shouldn't be causing this amount of problems, surely?

It will break the GL GUI.

But recovering the firmware using Uboot should be fine.

what could have happened to cause it to no longer boot from any gl.inet firmware but it still works fine using vanilla openwrt.

to be clear, pressing update modules in the gl.inet gui caused a reboot (thats fine) but then it never came back up just sat at power light only, and ive tried using uboot with every previous firmware listed for X3000 and all give same result, my only option is to use vanilla openwrt (which works fine, although i dont know how to patch the pci drivers so its in usb mode for now).

what could be now missing to cause this issue?

Guess the factory partition containing the configs, keys and stuff vanished.
Did you try to install plain OpenWrt (not sysupgrade)?

the openwrt image i have says sysupgrade, so i dont think so, but i only tried the vanilla openwrt after trying to use uboot with all the official firmware after it didnt boot the first time

is there any way i can check using openwrt if its missing?

and if it is missing is there any way to recreate it?

If you tried vanilla already it should destroy the factory partition.

Guess best would be to write to support@glinet.biz and tell them about this thread. They may be able to send you a new image for flashing.

thank you
