Spitz AX GL-X3000 - No longer boots

I joined the growing list of Spitz AX owners who are experiencing the same issue. It worked great until it didn't. Like others, can upload firmware with UBOOT, but after rebooting only power LED is illuminated.

support want me to send mine back, before they send me another one, but since it works fine on just openwrt i'll just keep using that.

whatever is ran during the module update, bricks these routers, can't be that hard to fix and provide a working solution, if there is missing data that prevents bootup, then they should provide a tool or firmware that puts it back so it boots

I received great support from them.
There is a delay with communication because of their location and also they aren’t available on the weekends.
I literally received my replacement in two days.
Hopefully they can figure out why they are bricking.
I received mine prior to shipping back my bricked unit.
Mine happened when I did a web GUI reboot because of poor performance. Typically something that needed to be done once a month.
I believe that’s a t-mobile issue and they want to renew the lease.

Add me to the list.

Any recommendations for alternative 5G routers? I have contacted support but obviously need internet ASAP

I’m having the exact same problem. I just joined the club 2hrs ago. Nothing works. Any new suggestions

Add me to the list.

Have had this unit for a year and a half. Working great then suddenly, nothing!

Guess I'll start by reaching out to support.

Any suggestions?

It’s been radio silence and very frustrating. This should be high priority for GL-inet but I don’t think they are treating it as such especially after a heavy investment to purchase these devices.

I have just had a reply, they are forwarding my details to the RMA team as the person who replied said it is a hardware issue.

Hope this is sorted soon as this looks like it might be a common fault with this router.

They are back on target. Received a response and inquiry. I should delete my previous post.

Unfortunately my router is long past the RMA period, so I've just made peace with the fact that OpenWRT seems to run fine on it - the only thing it's missing really is dual sim card support.

The router hasn’t been out very long so I don’t think it will be exempt from an RMA especially if you are in the EU

I got mine in June 2023 and I'm in the US, so it's well outside the one-year warranty now :frowning:

@andrewgodwin
Pretty sure that GL-iNet has a 3 year warranty on this router.

Was using mine strictly as a cellular failover modem connected to the WAN side of the router. Does OpenWRT support bypass mode?

They’ll probably ask you to return yours first before they send out a replacement. Estimate 2 weeks before getting it. If it’s related to the issue, they will honor the replacement.

Sent mine back 2 days ago and just had an email from them to confirm my new one is on its way to me. So pretty good service to be fair

I got mine less than a month ago via Amazon and the Flint 2 is coming Monday. The Spitz AX GL_X3000 works fine so far, but if I go to upgrade it says there is not one available even though my version is * Version4.0 * Firmware Type0413release2. Maybe that one works so I should not change it? Supposedly 4.8 is coming and it says it supports both Spitz AX and Flint 2:

Any fix for this issue?
My device just encountered this error. Tried flashing images via uboot and it is just stuck at the power LED. Nothing else flashes and the device is not detected.

No fix. You have to have it replaced. Email customer service.
